DRAGON A MYTH OR REALITY???




Dragons are one of the most talked about myths in cultures all around the  world .Every country had them in its mythology. In Europe, they are nightmarish fire-spewing reptiles, large and lizard-like, with the forked tongue of a snake and wings like a bat. 

In china and Japan people have strong beliefs over different kinds of dragons, both cultures symbolizes dragon as  power and excellence. Moreover it has been said that ,In early days people used to worship the dragon as their Lord and even asked for help and guidance. INJapanese folklore there are many nine types of dragons and on Chinese folklore there are only three. In some legends it is said that dragons evolved from fish and as they grew they showed power and strength , resulting, people started respecting them. There were different types of dragons used to be worshipped. The fire dragon is the most talked about known to be most competitive and expects a lot from people,it was very ambitious, and short tempered. Besides fire dragon another known dragon is water dragon. It was quieter, showed positive attitude,less selfish and less power hungry than most other dragons.Moreover, When most people think "dragon" they most likely think of the Western dragon. Western dragons are usually portrayed as evil, mean, and bloodthirsty. On other hand, Eastern dragons are portrayed as good, kind, and intelligent. In addition to that Oriental Dragons have the most recorded history in the world, especially in China going back thousands of years. In history they have a very close link to the weather. It is said that some of the worst flooding in Asia's History were caused when a mortal has upset a dragon.
Stories of dragons have been handed down for generations in many civilizations.Dragons have been in mythology and legend for thousands of years. Almost every country in the world as some sort of dragon story. It is almost certain that more myths and legends of these fascinating creatures will fill the heads of children and adults alike and artists will continue drawing, painting, and creating dragons of all sorts, as long at their imaginations allow.
                                         In reality,Dinosaur and mammalian fossils were occasionally mistaken as the bones of dragons and other mythological creatures — for example, a discovery in 300 BC in Wucheng, Sichuan, China, was labeled as such by Chang Qu. An actual dragon or dragons bones have never been found,if they really have existed, that is why a lot of people wonder why there is so much talk about dragons. The purpose of the dragon was meant to be for spiritual beliefs and just to make up stories and legends.
